Hark the herald
“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:10-14)
In essence the phrase of “hark the herald” would translate similar to “Listen to the messenger’s announcement”. Wouldn’t it have been interesting if the star that the wise men saw was actually a messenger angel? I would think it would be a wonderful tie in with the role of the angels but of course that’s just my imagination running a bit wilder than what’s contextually in the text 😉
