Desiring to Know God Daily

We excuse reading God’s word by saying we don’t have enough time, we are tired, we don’t like to read, etc. How can Christians expect to boldly share who Christ is and live a life that is pleasing to Him when many spend so little time getting to know Him? Is this our attitude towards the all powerful, perfect God we serve?
Have we forgotten who God is and as such, take His wisdom for granted? Is not His word an opening for us to grow deeper in our understanding and love for the God we serve? Is not the wisdom of His word beneficial to our physical living and spiritual nourishment?

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
(2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV)

Is engaging with God daily, a chore or a joy for you? The amount of time you spend reading, understanding and applying His wisdom in your life will reflect how you treat your relationship with the Lord and those around you. I pray we may learn to not take this wonderful gift for granted.
